When you visit this website
When you open this website, your browser automatically transmits data to our provider. This includes the address requested, the date and time, the amount of data transferred, the previously visited page, your browser and its version, your operating system and your IP address. This data is technically required for the page to be delivered at all and serves the security of operation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in trouble-free operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This data is not combined with other sources.
Hosting
This website is operated at Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes the access data described above on our behalf. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider. Transfers to the USA are covered by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Enquiry form
If you send us an enquiry using the form, we process the details you provide: your name, your email address, optionally your phone number, the dates you are interested in, the number of guests, the apartment you prefer and your message. We use this data solely to answer your enquiry and make you an offer. The legal basis is pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your details are stored in our database and additionally forwarded by email to our mailbox. We keep them for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and delete them once the matter is closed, unless statutory retention periods apply. If a booking is made, commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years apply.
Email delivery
To send the notification about a new enquiry we use the mailbox of our provider STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The details from your enquiry are transmitted in the process.
Google Maps
This website embeds a map from the Google Maps service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is loaded as soon as you reach the corresponding part of the page. Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process, possibly also to the USA. We have no influence on whether and how Google processes this data further. The map is embedded in order to show you where the house is located and therefore lies in our legitimate interest in presenting our offer clearly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cookies
This website does not set any cookies for advertising or analytics. There is no visitor tracking and no sharing with advertising networks. The only cookie set is technically necessary and remembers your choice of language so that you do not have to choose between German and English again on your next visit. The legal basis is § 25(2) TDDDG, as this cookie is strictly necessary for the service you requested. The embedded Google map may set its own cookies; we have no influence on this.
Administration area
The password-protected administration area of this website is intended solely for the operator and her staff. A login cookie and the language setting are stored there. It is of no relevance to visitors of the public pages.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data stored about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object at any time to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). To do so, simply contact info@villa-veronica.de. An email is sufficient; there are no special formal requirements.
Right to complain
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in particular in the member state of your residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).
Encryption
This website uses an encrypted connection (TLS). You can recognise this by the “https” at the start of the address bar and by the padlock symbol in your browser. What you send us through the form therefore cannot be read by third parties.
